WELCOME TO THE WARRIORS
2008 SWIM SEASON

Welcome swimmers and parents to the 2008 Warriors swim season!  Patty Boone and I are once again heading up the swim team, and we’re looking forward to a fun-filled summer.  There are several other great folks that will be helping to pull swim team together this year.  Please see the attached roster of our organizing committee and contact information.  Their assistance and support is vital to the success of our season.  If you are viewing this on the website, click on the link for “Who is Who and Does What”. This year’s swim team schedule is posted on the website also. We start our meets June 17th and we have a bye the week of July 4th. Check out our full schedule and print it at www.indianlakeclub.org.

We have two great coaches this year.  Taylor Miley is returning as head coach, and Kelsey Stinnett will help out as well.  Both have lots of swim experience, and have been members of our team for many years.  We welcome them! They will lead our team to a successful season.  And success not only means winning and fast swimming; it also means teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.  I have confidence in our coaches that they will work together to make this season a successful one for our swimmers in every way.

Parents continue to be a vital part of our swim team; we cannot organize a team or run a meet without them.  We need your help this summer, and next; Patty and I will end our reign as leaders of the team this summer.  We need a new team representative and coaching coordinator for the summer of 2009.  It is a tremendously rewarding experience!  Please consider taking over for next season.  We will help make the transition as painless as possible.  This team is a well-oiled machine, and learning it is easy.  The board has offered to waive the swim team representatives’ club dues, a great incentive for a willing parent!  Please let us know if you are interested in taking over as team representative and/or coaching coordinator for the 2009 swim season.
